Same Sequence, New Texture | A Fluid Body Flow Prompt

This flow prompt comes straight from the Fluid Body Prompt Book. Same sequence, New Texture is about separating what you do from how you do it. You take a short sequence you already know, run it once as it is, then run it again with a new texture or quality, without changing the sequence itself. Only the feeling changes. It's a simple way to discover how much expression lives inside movement you already have. This isn't about getting it right. It's about exploration, connection, and letting your flow be restorative.

How to integrate this into your practice

Start with a sequence your body already knows, something you don't have to think about. Run it once exactly as it is so you can feel its natural shape. Then choose a new texture and run the same sequence again, light, melting, sharp, floating, whatever calls to you. Don't change the choreography. Let the texture do the work. Notice the decisions it makes for you, where you slow down, where you soften, where something unexpected opens up. Return to this prompt anytime your movement starts to feel flat or automatic. It's a quick way back into sensation.
