Low Flow No. 2: Feels So Right (Leg Waves, Pirouettes, & Mind Body Connection)
This is a low flow sequence you get to sink into. Set to "Feel So Right," it's a short seven-to-eight-move phrase where every transition melts into the next, built for sensing and feeling rather than performing. This is somatic pole at its core: the work isn't learning the tricks, it's building the awareness to feel your own body as it moves.
Throughout the sequence, you'll use the prompt dancing in the stillness to find the pockets inside each shape. That's the real skill here, learning to sense when a natural transition is arriving from inside your body, instead of just following the choreography from the outside. Once you can feel it, the sequence stops being steps you memorized and becomes movement you trust.
Along the way you'll work with a little edge work, experiment with pirouettes, and learn to initiate leg waves through the hip so the movement travels from your center outward. You'll also build the quad and core engagement that gives you real stability, the kind that lets you move slowly and deliberately without wobbling, so you can trust your body to hold you where you place it.
This is an intermediate to advanced low flow, so it rewards some existing comfort on the pole. But the invitation is the same at every level: slow down, feel more, and let the transitions come to you.
How to integrate this into your practice
Once the sequence feels good in your body, take it off this song and set it to different music. Notice how the phrasing changes, how a different tempo or mood pulls new timing out of the same shapes. The choreography is a starting point, not a fixed thing.
Then take it further. Pick one or two moves from the sequence, open the Fluid Body Prompt Book, and find a prompt that sends you somewhere new with them. Follow one shape down a path you haven't tried and see what expression you find. That's how a sequence becomes your own.
